From the organically farmed Little Five range in South Africa, it also brings Fairtrade and vegan credentials, with a range story that celebrates Africa’s wildlife heroes and the ecosystems around them.
About the Estate
Little Five is a South African wine range created in partnership with Ehrmanns and Origin Wine in Stellenbosch, bringing together accessible fruit-led styles with strong organic, Fairtrade and vegan credentials. Founded by Swiss winemaker Bernard Fontannaz in 2002, Origin has grown into one of South Africa’s largest wine businesses, with long experience in crafting approachable, well made wines. The range takes its name from Africa’s iconic Big Five, while also celebrating the lesser-known "Little Five" species, such as the buffalo weaver, elephant shrew and leopard tortoise, which play their own vital part in the natural world – and which you’ll spot on the labels too. True to that spirit, the wines are bright, approachable and easy to enjoy, with organic, Fairtrade and vegan credentials adding to their feel-good appeal.
