Description
If you are looking for a beautifully expressive Provence rosé with real freshness, charm and purity, this is a very smart choice. From organic vineyards between Saint-Tropez and Toulon, where Provence’s coastal influence meets the shelter of the hills, Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault ripen beautifully, bringing super-expressive aromas and ripe strawberry and melon fruit, all balanced by fresh acidity and a gently saline twist.
- Best Organic Rosé, The Independent, “…a splendidly fruity and balanced rosé, with notes of ripe soft fruits aided by a hint of salinity from the nearby Mediterranean.” John Clarke (2025 vintage)
- Featured by Tom Cannavan, Rosé Round-Up 2024, “An organic certified pink from specialist retailer Vintage Roots, from vineyards between St Tropez and Toulon. It’s a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault and is one of the fruitiest, punchiest wines of this tasting. A little more depth to the colour than some, with passion fruit and peach, pulpy strawberry and a juicy cherry acidity. Ramps up the vibrancy to good effect.” (90 points)
About the Estate
Domaine Des Pierecèdes is located between Saint-Tropez and Toulon in the far south of the Provence region of France. Pierecèdes has been passed down over five generations, and today it is Alain Baccino and wife joined by their two daughters Audrey, who has taken over the winemaking, and Leslie who also helps run the 35-hectare estate. Remains of a Roman winery have recently been unearthed here, and the vineyard has been certified organic since 2007.
