Description
Casa Relvas mixed farm is based in southern Portugal (Alentejo) and a pioneer of the local sustainability programme (WASP). Their white is from Encruzado, Antao Vaz and Verdelho grapes. It shows lively acidity to balance the full tropical flavours.
About the Estate
Casa Relvas is a family-run estate in Portugal’s Alentejo, founded by Alexandre Relvas in 1997 and now run across two generations. Based around Redondo and São Miguel de Machede, the estate brings together vineyards, cork forest, olive groves and the warm, open landscape that gives Alentejo wines their generous character. Sustainability is central to the Casa Relvas story, with certified sustainable production, organic wines under the Art.Terra range, sheep grazing in the vineyards, water reuse, biodiversity work and solar energy at the winery. The result is a modern Portuguese producer with strong environmental credentials and a clear focus on expressive, fruit-driven wines with a real sense of place.
