Description
The Georgians have been developing this style of wine for 8,000 years and this unique style of white wine is becoming more and more popular recently. The Muscat grapes are made with prolonged skin contact and fermented at red wine temperatures. This gives the wine a deeper colour, more flavour, and a very slight tannic sensation. A very fresh orange wine with bright notes of summer fruits including white peach, apricot and candied fruit flavours. Dry with a little presence of tannin on the finish.
About the Estate
Bertie Eden, a passionate winemaker: After having travelled throughout the most beautiful wine-growing regions in the world, working with many renowned oenologists, Bertie fell under the spell of La Livinière and moved to Château Maris in 1997 with his family. His wife Encarnacion Eden was closely involved in contributing to several projects over the years, most recently with the interior design and artwork in their own Villa Maris.
With a desire to produce high-quality wines that respect the environment, Bertie implemented an organic and biodynamic approach from the outset. A committed winegrower and world-renowned specialist in biodynamics, he promotes the benefits of this practice throughout the sector, thus inspiring global environmental change.
