Description
A refined Lalande de Pomerol from Château Vieux Chevrol, made mostly from Merlot with Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon adding structure and savoury depth. Aged for 12 months in large oak demi-muids, it shows dark cherry, cassis and blackberry fruit, with warm spice, liquorice, cocoa and smooth, elegant tannins. A classic Right Bank red for roast lamb, beef, mushroom dishes and mature cheeses.

About the Estate
The estate is located in the heart of the right bank of Bordeaux, in the Lalande de Pomerol Appellation, very close by to the famous Pomerol and Saint Emilion appellations. The family now headed up by Michel Champsiex, have farmed the 21 hectares here for three generations, and the average age of the vines is now 35 years.
