Description
Barolo is one of Italy’s most prestigious red wines, known as the “King of Wines” and prized for its bold structure, complex aromas of rose, tar and dried cherry and its impressive aging potential. Aged in Slavonian oak barrels for 24 months, the Rivetti DOCG Barolo is elegant and powerful, showcasing structure with rippling tannins and fine notes of cherry, cedar, leather and mushrooms. The wine is made from the noble Nebbiolo grape from around the town of Serralunga d’Alba and is drinking well now but has good aging potential as well, which will allow the wine to develop further over time.

About the Estate
Massimo Rivetti is a renowned family-run winery based in Neive, in the heart of the Piedmont region of northwest Italy. The estate has a rich heritage, with five generations of winemaking experience, and is particularly recognised for its commitment to organic viticulture and traditional winemaking methods. The Massimo Rivetti family farm manages 25 hectares of vineyards, all cultivated under organic certification since 2009. The vineyards are grouped around three farmhouses: Froi, Garassino and Palazzina, with the main winery located on the Serraboella hill, a prestigious site for Barbaresco production. Vines range from 35 to 75 years old, among the oldest in the region, and all vineyard work is done by hand, including grass removal and mulching to reduce plant stress.
