Taste
Smooth and creamy, with fresh red fruits
Aroma
Cherry, raspberry and a touch of citrus
Description
New to our collection, this chillable red from Parra Jiménez is notably bright and vibrant in the glass. Inspired by the winemaker’s childhood love of comics, its playful label and vivid colour have even led some to nickname it “kid wine”, though in the glass it is full of grown-up drinkability. A smooth, creamy palate carries flavours of freshly picked cherries and dry red fruits, lifted by a splash of blood orange zest and just enough bite to keep things lively. Unfussy and frighteningly easy to drink, it is perfect served chilled like a rosé – and some even say it makes a great base for sangria.
About the Estate
Certified organic since 1995, the Parra family’s pursuit came from the devotion of the three brothers Francisco, Javier and Luis, who founded their La Mancha property with the conviction to organically and biodynamically farm every vine under their care. The Parra family works two large vineyards in La Mancha, near the town of Las Mesas (The Tables) in central Spain, totalling 180 hectares. Delivering clean, honest wines grown in harmony with the land, Parra Jiminez wines are always good value and a natural wine lover’s hidden gem.
