Most German wines are single varietal, and nothing screams German wine like a good Riesling, the fruity white that makes for the perfect addition to any celebration or meal. For reds, Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) is the most popular grape, followed by Dornfelder, known for producing reds with moderate tannins, spicy acidity and earthy finish.
